Nyela Williams, M.S.

Nyela Williams is a dedicated sports industry professional currently serving as an Account Executive in Membership Services for D.C. United. She holds a Master of Science degree in Sport Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland College Park. As a former two-time Division I track and field athlete, Nyela’s passion for sports is deeply rooted in her personal experiences, which have shown her how sports can positively influence lives and foster community connections.

In her role at D.C. United, Nyela focuses on building strong relationships with season ticket members, delivering personalized support, and creating engaging fan experiences through tailored events and community outreach. Her previous experience includes account executive roles with the Atlanta Dream WNBA and the Washington Nationals, where she developed expertise in event planning, sales, and fan engagement. Nyela is committed to fostering inclusive environments that bring people closer to sports and to one another, while continuously supporting the growth and success of her teams.

Beyond her professional work, Nyela actively participates in leadership and community initiatives, including serving as Internal Audit Chair for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is recognized for her leadership, problem-solving skills, and dedication to empowering others through sport.
